What does a gal from New York and a guy from Seattle have in common? Aside from their love of their families, the water, food and the warm Florida weather – dogs, dogs, dogs!!! Those dogs go everywhere — the beach, the boat, dinners, bike rides, car rides, walks. And so the planning began! Over many dinners, many games of Catchphrase, and several trips to the beach and the dog park, a brilliant idea comes to mind.

There wasn’t anywhere to wash our furry friends on our way home from the beach or dog park! Just when they need it most. We wanted somewhere where the owners could drop in, bathe the dog and off they go.

Easy. Quick. Convenient.

More dinners, more Catchphrase —and yes  —the ideas just keep coming. Before you know it…Salty Dogs DIY Dog Wash is no longer just a dream!

We wanted to create a welcoming environment where your pets would be safe and would like to come, making new friends with each visit and becoming familiar with the shop. Our vision was to be a place that owners would love to bring their pets because they want to be involved in the process and know their pups would be at ease. We wanted to provide all the healthy foods and treats your pet would need to help sustain a long and happy life. Human grade, all-natural, USA-made food and treats went to the top of the Dream List.

We believe that educating each visitor on the importance of monthly maintenance for their pet between their regular grooming appointments is essential for a healthy and happy life for their best friend! We are hoping to provide the perfect environment for pet owners to do just that.

We are a neighborhood location where our customers can become our friends and we are a part of the community. We will continue to be advocates for SAFE, the Humane Society, and Pet Adoptions, which we have supported over the years and will continue to support.

The well-being of your furry friends will always be our top priority! Being an advocate for pets-in-need will always be top of mind!
